Help us improve the health of children living in the most remote mountain areas among the Himalayas

About Nepal
Nepal is a beautiful country surrounded by the Himalayas. As a blessing that it is, it feces challenges in terms of mobility and accessibility. And the main access to healthcare is in Kathmandu, creating a big gap in terms of accessibility between rural and urban areas.

Our Goal
Our goal is to provide equal opportunities around the country in children’s health care, at the same time we work to empower NURSES roll in the health system. With our work, we aim to reduce health inequalities during childhood in Nepal.

Who are we looking for?
Nurses only
We are looking for nurses who are passionate and open minded. If you are a health professional and are interested in sharing your knowledge with health personnel in other parts of the world, we need you!
What will you do as a volunteer in Nepal?
Community Health Assistance
As a volunteer in Nepal, you will have the opportunity to carry out basic health check-ups in rural areas schools. We want to develop prevention and promotion of health during childhood in rural areas of nepal. This program is lead by local & international NURSES.
At Nyano Angalo in Nepal we are trying to generate new data on the country’s child population. So part of your work as a volunteer includes data collection. This data is also handled to the local goberments in rural areas to help them develop and implement this strategy, we believe it is interesting and enriching to have different perspectives. That is why we want our volunteers to also be involved in the study process.
How?
Volunteering is always done by local staff, which means that the work is established in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams. Each volunteer will work alongside Nepalese health personnel in order to carry out the necessary community interventions.
Health Promoter Training Project
We are seeking healthcare professionals and trainers with experience in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), wound management, or other healthcare specialties who can contribute their expertise in rural settings. We particularly value individuals with a passion for training, social awareness, and a willingness to share their experience with local healthcare staff.
& Where?
Our work is focused on the Sindhupalchowk area in the northeast of the country. It’s a rural area, but not extremely remote, about 4 hours from the capital. During your volunteer placement, you can stay in local homes within our project, depending on the specific area we’re working in at the time of your volunteer work in Nepal.
Volunteering time period
3 to 4 weeks in Nov. & April
(our coming volunteer program Nov.15 to Dic. 6, 2026)
